During the past few years, Google has been very modest in showing us new devices of Nexus family. Whether it is a visit of Mathias Dûarte into the The Verge office, or news in the official blog. But this year is different. The company conducted a full presentation that opened a lot to us. Including a brand new Nexus 6P.

It`s been a long time since we`ve been waiting for news about the Nexus 6P, produced by Huawei (the first time that Nexus is produced by Chinese company, which is good in production of fablets, by the way), and today we have something to tell.

Appearance and design
The biggest Google tablet is already called the deluxe device and “the most superior phone at the moment”. Nexus became a little smaller. It has a 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED display and a radically new design. Why did they change IPS matrix on AMOLED? Power consumption! Mate S with 2700 mAh battery in many modes works not less than Mate7 with impressive 4100 mAh.
Its dimensions and mass — 159,3 ? 77,8 ? 7,3 mm ? 178 grams.
Its size is similar to the size of iPhone 6 Plus. Gorilla Glass 4 protects precious display, and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating protects from fingerprints.
6P wears all-metal casing – for the first time in the Nexus series (Huawei are known for their love of metal). It has a pair of speakers on front panel, and fingerprint scanner on the back. Like in a fairy tale about the sleeping beauty: touch the sensor – and your beloved will immediately wake up. The sensor is so sensitive that you won’t feel the time of the unlock. Only touch with your finger and the device will feel you.
Thanks to the greatly increased speed and sensitivity, new opportunities have emerged. When moving up and down the finger on fingerprint scanner, you can call notification menu and fast shortcuts. This is very convenient for the 5.7-inch fablet. Using the scanner, you can flip through your photos in the gallery, take pictures, and answer a phone call.
Using fablet, you can carry out the authorized payments through Android Pay or in Play Store.
On the back of the phone you can find the main 12.3-megapixel camera that has even more pixels than the iPhone has. This allows taking great pictures even in low-light. Camera with pixels of 1.55 ?m, lens with a maximum aperture of F/2.0 and laser assistant of autofocus. It supports video recording resolution of 4 k, with a frequency of 30 FPS and is optimized for shooting indoors, has slow-motion shooting.
The front camera of a new phone has 8-megapixels, and lens with a maximum aperture of F/2.4.

What is inside?
Nexus 6P is based on the Snapdragon 810 processor of 2.1 version. So, there are no problems with overheating. Also, it has 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Nexus 6P is also equipped with a battery of 3450 mAh. Flash drive volume is 32 for basic version (unlike Apple , Huawei isn`t being greedy!), and 64 and 128 GB. There are no memory card slots, but there is actually no need in them.
Charging is USB Type-C (the same as in smartphone 2 OnePlus, as well as in laptop Apple Macbook 12). Support for this new cable type is added to the Marshmallow, a new version of the Android operating system (Android 6.0 is a guarantee of a chic speed). This cable, as noted, lets you charge your new device two times faster than the iPhone Plus 6: 10 minutes are enough to get seven hours of autonomy.
Pre-orders for the Nexus 6 p will start on the day of the announcement. The price for models with 32-GB drive is $ 499, 64-GB — $ 549, and 128 GB – $ 649. New products will be available to consumers in white, silver and black colors.
