The age between 20 and 29 is widely considered as the best decade of one’s life. In most cases, it marks a period in life, when you are no longer a teenager, but at the same time, you don’t have the full expense of responsibilities of an adult. That’s why, if you don’t want to regret the time you’ve wasted, you have to properly enjoy your 20’s. Here is our advice to youth on some absolutely mandatory things you have to do. 1. Try living alone
Assuming you’ve grew up with your parents, you totally need to feel this freedom and independence. You will be able to decorate your home in whatever way you like (buy a huge bed or some other comfy furniture), have a party all night or just have a romantic dinner with your significant other whenever you want. Besides, it is helpful to feel the responsibility for your own life.
2. Cook for yourself
Try cooking something new for yourself every day for 30 days. This will expand your creative thinking and it will be fun to treat yourself with something extraordinary.
Travelling is an amazing thing, it opens you up to new experiences, gives a chance to learn something new about a culture, different from your own. Of course, this experience often costs quite a lot. If you can’t take such expenses, just go on a spontaneous camping trip with your friends. You can find some reasonable offers on camping gear here. It will serve as a great bonding experience and you will have a lot of fun!
4. Learn a new language
As well as travelling, new language gives you a peak at the new culture, this time from an inside. Psychology says, that learning a foreign language gives a person a sense of connection and partly even mentality of a foreign nationality. Besides, it can help you to connect more deeply with someone from the other side of the globe.
5. Break out of the cycle
It is easy to get caught in monotony of everyday life: work, eat, sleep, repeat. Force yourself to have fun, don’t forget about your friends, figure out what makes you happy and stick with it. Don’t be afraid of changes, they are a natural part of our lives.
6. Take care of yourself
Healthy things may not always be fun, but it is still important to do them. Go to a gym or get some equipment to work out at home, start jogging or just play some sports with you friends – you will definitely not regret about this decision later.
7. Try to say “Yes” more often
To have more new and exciting experiences, it is useful to get out of your comfort zone. You will never really know, if you like something or not if you don’t try it. Just get out there and say “Yes” to things you normally wouldn’t have.
