Be Bold for Change
For the first time ever, the International Chamber of Commerce Nigeria is collaborating with the Network of Entrepreneurial Women to hold a hopefully annual event for Nigerian women called “Be Bold for Change”.
The event, which is taking place at NECA House, Plot A2 Hakeem Balogun Way, Alausa Ikeja, Lagos, starting at 9:00 am, is aimed at celebrating the many achievements of women, including social, political, economic, and cultural accomplishments.
Another goal of the organizers is to empower women and girls all over Nigeria, getting closer to gender equality.
Breakfast with W
Another one of the International Women’s Day activities aimed at empowering Nigerian ladies and help them achieve more will take place at 141 Idewu Street Olodi-Apapa, Lagos. The “Breakfast with W” is an event organized by Access Bank. Starting at 9:00 am, this three-hour event will focus on many points concerning the position of women in the Nigerian society.
There you will be able to marvel at the many accomplishments of the women in the country, as well as work on networking, visibility, self-confidence, and other traits every lady needs to succeed.
One of the most fun activities for Women’s Day this year is happening at Oakwood Park Hotels, Lekki Expressway, Lekki Peninsula, Lagos. This event is the perfect place for anyone who is passionate about cakes, especially if you’re fond of baking and want to improve your skills.
Besides showcasing the most beautiful cakes and techniques, the organizers of this event will also reveal how to run a cake business and how to bake, decorate, price, and deliver cakes.
If you’ve run out of Women’s Day program ideas and want to simply spend a fun evening with your girlfriends, a sushi night can be a great alternative to other events.
Luckily, Lagos is full of popular and respectable restaurants serving Japanese cuisine, so you just have to pick one, book a table, and spend the evening enjoying sushi and your company.
The most beloved sushi places in Lagos are Bonzai, Sakura, Izanagi, and Bungalow Restaurant.
After exploring some of the Womans Day themes we’ve listed above, why not finish the night by a fun and entertaining karaoke session? If you love music and can’t live without singing, this kind of celebration is right up your street. And even if you’ve never sung in public before, the International Women’s Day is the perfect time to start! Leave your doubts behind, pick your favorite song, and start having the night of your life!
