2. The host

Alicia Keys is only the fifth female Grammy host in history and the third woman to host the ceremony more than once. In addition to that, Alicia Keys has won 15 awards for her music throughout her career and is a friend of the institution.

3. The nominees

As always, the list of nominees of the 2020 Grammy Awards includes some of the best-known names in the music industry, as well as the hottest newcomers who surprised and delighted us over the year. The person with the biggest number of nominations this year is Lizzo, who stormed the charts and released one hit after another. Lizzo scored 8 nominations, so she is bound to win at least some of the awards.

5. Burna Boy at the Grammys 2020

To the delight of Nigerians, Burna Boy got nominated this year for Grammy Awards. Burna Boy, born under the name of Damini Ogulu, scored a nomination for the Best World Album with his hit record called African Giant. Burna Boy isn’t the only Nigerian nominated this year, as the duo of Don Eazi and Legendury Beatz were also nominated for the J Balvin & Bad Bunny album in the Best Latin Rock, Urban, or Alternative album.

Burna Boy joins the likes of Femi Kuti, Wizkid, Timaya, and Kah Lo, who have all been nominated for Grammy over the years. While the singer has rather high chances of winning the award, we will have to wait until Sunday to find out whether he will bring the Grammy home.
