Right now, there are six African countries who have no official cases of coronavirus. Some officials claim that the low number is due to the low number of people arriving from overseas by plain, others believe they have been spared by God. However, there are suspicions that the actual number of infected patients may be higher and they simply have not been detected due to the lack of testing. The countries with no reported COVID-19 cases in Africa are:
- South Sudan
- Sao Tome and Principe
Asia is a region where the coronavirus pandemic first started – the original cases of COVID-19 were reported in the Chinese province of Wuhan in late 2019. The infection then spread to other Asian countries, but some states on the continent have not confirmed a single coronavirus patient since the beginning of the pandemic. Here are the countries in Asia where no COVID-19 cases were registered to date:
- North Korea
3. Other countries
With most of the Asian, African, North and South American, and European countries being affected by the pandemic, it is mostly small islands and other distant states that have yet been spared from the coronavirus. These are the remaining countries where the coronavirus has not been detected yet:
- Federal States of Micronesia
- Marshall Islands
- Solomon Islands
And although it may seem like a good idea to escape to one of those few countries where the coronavirus has not been detected yet, we must remember two things. First, it is close to impossible to go anywhere by plane right now due to airline restrictions. Second, coronavirus is very contagious, and even if has not been found in a few places on the planet, it is very likely to reach them in the nearest future.
