1. iPhone Xs and Xs Max
There they are – the most powerful and expensive iPhones Apple has ever made. The iPhone Xs and Xs Max are intended to replace last year’s iPhone X, which was a huge hit and a groundbreaking device in many regards.
The iPhone Xs is a relatively small device by today’s standards: its screen measures at just 5.8 inches, but with one important detail: the bezels are barely there, which means the whole front part of the iPhone Xs is all screen.
The iPhone Xs Max has the biggest screen of all Apple devices to date with the size of 6.5 inches. Both phones are encased in durable glass that was upgraded compared to the previous models and is now even more water-resistant, which was demonstrated by Apple in a series of tests.
The performance part of the new iPhone specs is even more interesting: both devices are powered by an innovative A12 Bionic chip that promises lightning-fast performance in all kinds of apps. The 512GB storage is available both for iPhone Xs and Xs Max. The phones use Face ID and have dual-lens back cameras with tons of new photography features.
The price for the new iPhones is $999 for the iPhone Xs and $1099 for the iPhone Xs Max. The devices come in three colours, including silver, gold, and space gold, and will be made available earlier this month.
2. iPhone Xr
After announcing two flagship devices, Apple also took care of those who shop on a budget by unveiling the iPhone Xr, the more affordable iPhone. It has a 6.1-inch LCD screen and the same A12 Bionic chip as the two more expensive models.
The iPhone Xr is similar to last year’s iPhone X and iPhone 8 in many regards, but it’s also a strong upgrade of them both. The Xr sports Face ID and doesn’t have a home button just like the iPhone X, but its battery is expected to last an hour and a half longer than the iPhone 8’s.
Similar to the iPhone 5C, another line of budget smartphones released by Apple a couple of years ago, the iPhone Xr will also be offered in a wider variety of fun colours, which includes yellow, coral, blue, and red. The iPhone Xr will become available in late October and will retail for $749.
3. Apple Watch Series 4
Continuing the tradition of creating endless screens, which started with 2017’s iPhone X, Apple introduced a similar design for the Apple Watch. The Series 4 generation will have 40mm and 44mm screens with 30% more screen space than last year’s watch.
However, the upgraded look of the new Apple Watch is even less exciting than what’s inside. Powered by a dual-core 64-bit processor, Apple Watch Series 4 can now work twice as efficiently as the previous models.
The new features of the watch include notifications when your heart rate is too high, low, or irregular, an opportunity to send an emergency call in case you fell down and can’t get up, and an ability to measure ECG. The Series 4 will cost $399 for GPS version and $499 for cellular.
