Earlier this month, Samsung has filed a new trademark for their smartphone. This patent is named Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro and was filed at the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office), which obviously means, that the release of this new product will most certainly will be in the US pretty soon. According to its name, this new model will most certainly be a version of Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro, which was released last year in China. Knowing this, we can assume, what the Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro specs will be.
The J series have always featured less expensive models, with extraordinary design and middle class of specs. Galaxy J3 Pro has 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, which will most certainly be featured on Luna Pro version too (it is also possible, that we could get 5.2-5.5-inch version). The Pro version is powered with 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor and 2 Gb of RAM, and, while it is enough for this phone, newer version could use some more RAM (most of the recent models are packed with 3-4 Gb of it).
Galaxy J3 Pro runs on Android 5.1, but in the end of last year Android has released a 7.1 version of their operating system, so maybe the next model will have an update to at least 6.0 version. The J3 Pro version is equipped with 2600 mAh, which will be fine for a newer version too.
Another feature, that can be updated in Luna Pro, is the phone’s camera. Galaxy J3 Pro features an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front one. While front camera has enough resolution for great selfies, rear one could be somewhat better. HD-video recording should also be featured on Luna Pro.
Other features, that will most certainly not be touched (because they are already fine) are Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and, of course, micro-USB and 3.5 audio jack.
Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro release date is yet unknown, but it is expected to be announced this month. Let’s hope, that company will release some new information about this model at the nearest exposition MWC 2017.
