1. Nokia 9
This year Nokia made a long-awaited comeback, and the wait was certainly worth it: each new smartphone announced by Nokia in 2017 has been a true work of art. The Nokia 9 has been the most anticipated one, as Nokia 9 specs in Nigeria made everyone excited for the new model.
The Nokia 9 features include a 5.5-inch screen, IP68 waterproof capabilities, an octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 64/128GB of internal storage, 13MP primary camera with dual LED flash and 5MP front camera with LED flash. The Nokia 9 release date is scheduled sometime in late January, and the Nokia 9 price in Nigeria is definitely going to be on the higher end: some reports suggest the phone will retail for as much as ₦275,000.
2. Ulefone Armor 2
One of the most exciting trends in this year’s smartphone segment was the growing popularity of rugged phones in Nigeria. There has been a dozen of models announced, but buyers are especially looking forward to the Ulefone Armor 2, the beautifully designed and generously equipped flagship model.
The three most attractive features about this phone are the waterproof, dustproof, and shock proof capabilities. Other than that, the Ulefone Armor 2 has rather outstanding specs: there is a 5.0-inch display, an octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 16MP and 13MP cameras, and a 4700mAh battery. You can get your Armor 2 for about ₦95,000.
3. Gionee M7
That’s right – Nigeria’s favourite smartphone brand is launching yet another hit model. The Gionee M7 is an upper-range model with matching specs and price. The Gionee M7 specification includes a 6.0-inch display, an octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, 13MP and 8MP cameras, and a 5000mAh battery with the fast charging technology.

5. Huawei Mate 10
This year Huawei has come out as the unlikely leader of the smartphone market in Nigeria with several new cutting-edge models. The Huawei Mate 10 was by far the most interesting one – many believe this phone can easily compete with the iPhone X and other high-end models.
The Huawei Mate 10 comes with a 6.0-inch display, an octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM, a whopping 256GB of built-in storage, a dual 20MP + 12MP primary camera, an 8MP front camera, and a 4000mAh battery. The price of Mate 10 will be rather high: prepare to pay ₦350,000 for your new Huawei.
