Camping is a great activity, suitable for whole family. It makes you go outside, breathe the fresh air, cooperate with one another and just have fun. Of course, you’re going to have fun only if you do it right. You can’t really remember to take everything you need and/or predict every possible outcome of every situations, but there are some things, that are helpful in a lot of cases, and still are often overlooked. Here are a few of the items, without which your camping could turn into disaster. Have the best time with Jiji!
First aid kit
People tend to think too positively about the outcome of any given situation. This creates a false feeling of complete safety, which is easily destroyed, when it’s already too late to make any action. You should be prepared for the worst outcome, so fill your first aid kit with medication for anything you could possibly get, from a mosquito bite to poisoning. But remember, that first aid kit is suitable for first aid only, and if something really bad happens you should immediately go to the hospital.
Batteries and power banks
When the night comes, you will obviously need some source of light. Usually it would be a flashlight or any other type of electricity-based luminous source. That’s why you should always take an extra pair of batteries in case the old ones run out, you don’t want to stay in complete darkness, do you? Power bank would also be a great idea, as you should always be able to contact someone outside, so you need to keep your phone charged.
Duct tape
Duct tape is a perfect item to repair something. It can hold together almost anything, in a dire situation you can even use it as a bandage. Nature is unpredictable, so you can’t really foresee, whether you’d really use it or not, but better to be safe than sorry.
Toilet paper and baby wipes
You may think about toilet paper as a thing with one purpose only, but it actually is a multi-functional tool. You can use it as a paper towels, this way you won’t need to take too much staff with you. Baby wipes are also a very useful thing for cleaning, disinfecting, body washing and even dish washing (if there is no water nearby).
Trash bags
Trash bags are the best thing to keep trash at. It’s obvious, but a lot of people don’t really think about the mess they leave after themselves while they’re resting. Trash bags will help you to easily take care of all the staff you don’t need and keep the nature safe. Furthermore, you can use trash bags in extreme situations as a waterproof case for your staff. You can even put them on your shoes to avoid making too much damage to them.
