A Little Bit of Pre-History
Aisha Buhari was born in the family of the first Minister of defense in Adamawa state. In her childhood, she got a perfect schooling, having learned English and Arabic fluently. Her education hadn’t stopped at this point and she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public administration. Later on, she got a diploma in cosmetology and beauty in France. This helped her to start up her own business – first northern Nigeria’s beauty spa salon. After her successful 10-years business experience, Aisha published a book called “The Essentials of Beauty Therapy: A Complete Guide for Beauty Specialist”.
Public Life
At the previous elections of her husband, Aisha was a vigorous campaigner, organizing rallies and town meetings with different feministic and youth organizations across the country. But in the very beginning, she was barely seen and heard in public as she directed all her strengths to help the victims of the Boko Haram conflict.
Now, she openly claims that the existing government is hijacked and the critics say that a great number of people were appointed to their positions mostly because they were in close relations with some “important people” in one way or another.
Rumors
Those criticizing Mrs. Buhari’s actions say she just didn’t manage to appoint some of her own people, so this is the main reason why she now openly speaks against her husband in media. Thought, the president is not that much concerned about his closest person’s actions and for the last words of German Chancellor Angela Merkel says, “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room”.
