Intro
Olamide is undoubtedly one of Nigeria’s most prominent rappers of 2016 and he continues to hold this position.
Olamide became famous after his super hit “Eni-Duro” was released in 2011 and later he released other tracks that took the top positions in different charts.
In 2014 the rapper started a tradition to please his fans with a yearly concert, OLIC.
«The Glory» album
Olamide’s 6th studio album “THE GLORY” was released on the 26th of December, same day as his OLIC3 concert was held. The “Glory” is Olamide’s 5th album in 5 years and a follow up to his previous album, Eyan Mayweather.
According to Olamide, the “Glory” will be core hip-hop but it will be quite different from his singles written mostly in a pop style. He posted on his Instagram:
“#TheGlory… drops on 26th of December the #OLIC3 day…. sorry for the wait… this is dedicated to the Day1 fans, Rap Music…”.
The composition “Badoo” that Olamide styled himself reached his over 1.5 million hyping and happy followers on Instagram.
The album features 1 bonus single and 15 songs that are enjoyed by such musicians as Wande Coal, Phyno, Burna Boy, So Sick, Akuchi, Davolee’ and producer Sossick.
The album was produced by YBNL producers Pheelz and Young John.

Olic 3 concert
Olamide’s third Live In Concert (OLIC 3) was held at the Convention Centre of the Eko Hotels and Suites, in Victoria Island, Lagos.
This is what Olamide said about his live concert to his fans:
“My fans will find out something about me they have never experienced before. I’m super-prepared to come into history on Boxing Day. I will make this concert the talking point for several years all over Africa!!!”.
