What is the Vogue Challenge?
Unlike other popular internet challenges of 2020, which were born out of boredom or by accident, the Vogue Challenge is the reflection of the most recent developments in the society. After the death of George Floyd in the US and the subsequent Black Lives Matter protests, black models, photographers, designers, directors, writers, and bloggers have started complaining of the limited opportunities for people of colour in the mainstream media. As a result, the #VogueChallenge, where black creators showcase their talents and imagine new, inclusive magazine covers, was launched. Here are the most noteworthy Vogue Challenge posts from last week.

Most participants took the challenge very seriously, as evidenced by this glorious version of a Vogue cover. The photos themselves look like pure art and would fit Vogue’s aesthetic perfectly had this model been booked for a cover!
2. Post #2
Some creators had a different idea for participating in the challenge. Instead of putting their own photos on the imaginary Vogue cover, they used the Vogue Challenge as an opportunity to showcase their art in the form of mesmerizing illustrations.
3. Post #3
The next set of possible Vogue covers is what artistic expression is made of. These photos are so well-made, colourful, and striking that you would love to see them in an actual Vogue magazine, and given how much praise they got from the Internet users, they might as well appear there.
4. Post #4
It was refreshing to see not only women post their beautiful versions of the #VogueChallenge, but also men step up their artistic powers and offer their own ideas of what their Vogue covers could look like. Needless to say, we could all get behind a fabulous Vogue cover like that!
5. Post #5
These imaginary Vogue covers are so creative, eye-catching, and original, that we are surprised they haven’t yet made their way to the actual magazing stands. After all, it shouldn’t be surprising, as they were shot by a genuine fashion photographer and art director.
6. Post #6
Not all good renditions of the #VogueChallenge look like they were made in a professional studio with a dozen of people involved. Here is proof you can have a great imaginary Vogue cover by simply using one of your recent Instagram posts!
