1. Yahoo Mobile ZTE Blade A3Y specs

When looking at the Yahoo phone specs, it’s important to remember that it’s one of the cheapest Android devices available right now and while its specs may not be anywhere near mind-blowing, they are pretty competitive for its budget segment. Here is what the Yahoo Mobile ZTE Blade A3Y has to offer in terms of specs.

1. Design and display

The Yahoo ZTE phone comes with a 5.45-inch FullVision display and has an 18:9 aspect ratio plus a 720x1440p resolution. The creators of the device did not go for a bezel-less design: the phone has thick bezels on the top and bottom of the screen with the selfie camera located in the top bezel.

Unsurprisingly, the ultra-affordable Yahoo ZTE Blade A3Y comes in a fully plastic body with a textured back panel. The phone is available in just one colour option called Grape Jelly, which also happens to be Yahoo’s signature colour. There is a fingerprint scanner located on the back of the device.

2. Performance

Despite its budget status, the new Yahoo smartphone offers adequate performance specs. The device is powered by a octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. There are 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage that you can upgrade with an up to 128GB microSD card. The phone runs Android 10 out of the box with a few ZTE software and interface touch-ups. The Yahoo ZTE phone supports facial recognition for an improved security.

3. Camera and battery

To keep the price of the new device as low as possible, ZTE and Yahoo decided not to follow the multiple-camera trend of the past few years. Instead, they supplied the Yahoo smartphone with a single 8MP camera on the back and a dual LED flash for the most stunning photos under low lighting. The selfie camera has a 5MP capacity and no LED flash, so you will need to depend on the brightness of your screen to light up your selfies.

The display size and performance specs of the Yahoo Mobile ZTE Blade A3Y are not very demanding in terms of power, which is why you will only find a 2660mAh battery powering the device. However, surprisingly enough, the battery in the new Yahoo Mobile phone is removable, so if you need more power than your phone can give you, you can simply get an extra battery and install it when the old battery runs out of juice and you are still far from a power outlet.

2. Yahoo Mobile ZTE Blade A3Y price

The Yahoo smartphone was released exclusively by Verizon, a US mobile service provider, and is only available from their official website. The device comes in a bundle with data plans and is not going to be officially available in Nigeria. The price of the new phone is only $49.99, or around 19,000.
