“Make America Great Again” is the Trump’s presidential campaign’s slogan, which brought him a victory and made a 45th President of the United States.
On Friday, January 20, 2016, the inauguration of the newly-elected American president, Donald Trump, took place. Let’s remind that this time almost half of Americans weren’t satisfied with the election results, having organized protests in big cities like Washington D.C., New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Nevertheless, the decision has been made, so let’s watch how the Trump’s inauguration did go and if there were any incidents or ‘interesting moments’.
“American carnage stops right here and right now,” he said on the steps of the Capitol after taking the Oath of Office.
He said he would strip power away from Washington and give it “back to the people”.
“We must think big and dream even bigger,” he said. “America will start winning again, winning like never before.”- Some of Trump’s words, as well as his entire speech, was very inspiring, full of hopes for the different, though better future for American people.
“We will bring back our jobs, we will bring back our borders, we will bring back our wealth and we will bring back our dreams.” – these words might make the immigrants shake and think of seeking a better place somewhere beyond the American borders.
As to the former president, Barack Obama, and his wife, at the inauguration, they seemed like they handed power to the Trump’s. They had also a calm tea conversation earlier in the White House, just before the inauguration itself.
Let’s also remind that many of the musicians have declined to participate in Trump’s inauguration. Among them were such famous celebrities as Elton John, Céline Dion, David Foster, Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Church. Nevertheless, there were other singers who gladly came to perform and the inauguration of the newly-elected president. Among them was Jackie Evancho, a 16-year old very promising young lady singing the National Anthem.
On his first day of officially being a president, Trump made his first actions and signed the executive order on “Obamacare”.
At the end of the day, he celebrated his inauguration together with his wife dancing.
“This is a movement and now the work begins,” Mr. Trump told supporters, before dancing with his wife, Melania, to “My Way” at the first of three inaugural balls. “We love you. We’re going to be working for you and we’re going to produce results.”
